Healthy Grocery List on a Budget

People ask me frequently what I eat on a day to day basis. Keep in mind the foods that work best for me and my lifestyle, might not work best for you. But I believe that buying some simple, basic, healthy food items and keeping them stocked can really help to keep you on track with your fitness and/or weight loss goals.
Below is a list of items I usually purchase from the grocery store. I’ve started buying more frozen vegetables and frozen fruit simply because they last longer and are more cost effective for my budget right now.
- Eggs
- Almond Milk
- Almonds
- String cheese
- Salad mix (Kroger has some good variety and the salads are in kits and bagged. I love the Avocado Ranch Kit!)
- Almond butter
- Living lettuce (for turkey wraps)
- Deli turkey (low-fat)
- Lean ground turkey
- Dave’s Killer Bread
- Kodiak cakes
- Turkey bacon
- Wholly Guacamole cups
- Frozen blueberries
- Frozen broccoli
- Frozen zucchini/squash
- Oatmeal
- Honey
- Skinny Pop popcorn
- Dark chocolate walnuts
- Low-fat Greek yogurt
- Outshine fruit bar popsicles
- Rotisserie chicken (on nights when I’m rushed)
- Pretzels
